Is this normal?

So we're getting married next year, been together a long time but can only now afford a wedding.
We've booked the ceremony, reception and dj so far. This morning it hit me how real it is and we're actually getting married then started panicking about what if we can't pay it in time (no reason why we can't we can afford it) and if we're even doing the right thing!
No issues in our relationship and very much in love and have a child together.
Please tell me this is normal

Seems like you are just having anxiety about making a big purchase. It happens to me whenever I commit to parting with a large sum of money- house, new car, building work etc.

Thank you for your reply, that makes a lot of sense actually. Plus neither of us have been married before so never had to plan a wedding so maybe that's part of it too

Had exactly the same feelings today, our wedding is 8 months away and we just put some deposits down today. Both just started giggling afterwards and saying “fuck” - it all felt so real. We looked at some invitation ideas and just seeing our names with the date etc made me feel a bit weird too!

Absolutely no doubts over marrying each other, just the reality of it all hit 🥺

@Thrivenotsurvive so glad it's not just me. We've also put deposits down that's when it felt real. I've no doubts whatsoever about marrying him
