Sale and return alcohol

Sale and Return of unopened alcohol

Does anyone know which supermarkets or bottle shops provide the option to refund you unopened bottles or cases of wine? I have looked at Majestic but their T&Cs say they only return up to 25% of the price? Unless I’m reading it wrong.

Does anyone know whether Tesco, Lidl Aldi etc offer this service?

We are providing our own day alcohol and want to take quite a bit extra to avoid running out, so it would be good if we can get a refund on any we don’t use.

Thanks!

I wouldn't take wine back as there's no control over storage conditions which can massively impact quality. Cant you just go for a wine you'd be equally happy to drink in daily life?

I used majestic for my wedding in 2022 and my 60th in 2023. Both times got full price back for the wine we returned. They were great. I'd ring them up and check. They also did glass hire and ice bucket hire.

@Eva90 just checked their website. Definitely full price sale or return.

Maybe they mean up to 25% of the whole order price? So if you order 100 bottles they'll only take back up to 25 of them. 🤔

Majestic definitely does, though I'm going to use Lidl because they are half the price to start with, we will get through any leftovers Grin

Yesss definitely getting some from Lidl that's for sure!! I was thinking mainly red white and beers from a supermarket but getting my Rose wine from Lidl (as I have a favourite in there) and Pimms alternative. The prices are fab

The Lidl picpoul de pinet is a highly rated white and the cepa lebrel rioja an excellent red
