So today I said yes to the dress....

Tried a few at wed2b a few months the back but nothing I was wowed by. Beek looking online loads as you do. Fell in love with a dress at a local bridal boutique and thought it was going to be way out of my small budget. I then saw the name of the dress (Cathy). My aunt Kathy passed away 13 years ago to the big C at a young age. We were very close.

Anyway seeing the name I thought contact the store and just ask the price to get it out my head. I asked and the dress was £1675 however it had just gone into their SALE at £499.

That's less than the ones I liked in wed2b. Needless to say I booked straight in. Saw the dress today and its the one. Best friend in tears, which set me off as fh swore marriage was not on the cards for almost 15 years.

My question is do I add something sparkly to the front with a belt? Not sure if i need to or not. Also ideas on shoes.

So today I said yes to the dress....

With that back I would say no belt. It's a lovely dress.

Beautiful dress. No need to add anything

Gorgeous dress and sounds like it was meant to be. I wouldn't add a belt and it looks like you won't see the shoes so I would go with something comfy :)

JoyeuxNarwhal · 20/01/2024 15:20

That's lovely 😍

I wouldn't add anything, as @SirSamVimesCityWatch said, belt wouldn't work. If you want something glittery then add it to your bouquet maybe?

As for shoes, it's long so you can get away with anything. I wore Doc Martens under mine Grin

That's what I thought just wasn't certain. Next up is finding shoes just no idea what sort I want.

Definitely don't need to add anything. Lovely dress 😊

Choose comfy shoes was the tip I was given, your feet won't really be visible! I'm probably going for converse or even dm's but I definitely haven't found a dress, I haven't found anything I like at any price point! Think I need a seamstress, or better still, fashion student I can describe my likes and dislikes to,

@bobomomo funnily enough our eldest niece is studying fashion at college, off to uni next year. I took her with me for advice. She was going to design her own bridesmaid dress, but then found one she likes.
