Advice for getting married

Hello

My DP and I would like to get married in the UK - I am a citizen but live abroad, and he is American. I understand that we need to give notice to marry - but do we both need to attend an appointment to do this? Stupid question maybe, but I am not sure!

Yes you do, you will need to book an appointment with the Registar, you will be interviewed separately and independently. The Council website will list the documents you need to take. He may need to check the rules about USA marrying in the UK.
