Help! Eloping at York registry office

Hi all!
Me and my partner are eloping at York registry office on 6th February at 1215. None of our friends or family know we are getting married so we obviously can't ask any of them to witness for us. Does anyone know how/where to find witnesses?
We have to send our paperwork in 4 weeks before the ceremony so we're cutting it fine as it is.

Hello, apologies for bumping an older thread but we are quite simply looking for two witnesses for our secret wedding in Stoke-on-trent in 4 weeks time if anybody fancies it?! We are two women (in case anybody would only do it for straights)
