Engagement ring sizing beads

Hi there,

Has anyone tried sizing beads on a ring before? I got engaged in April and because I have large knuckles my ring swings around on my finger. I cant get it resized as it is tight to get it on over my knuckle as it is. I've seen sizing beads mentioned on another site but there wasn't much information given.

I need to get this done to one of my rings. The guy I took it to to resize it messed up and it’s still too large but he practically took all the hall marks off so I can’t get any more cut out.
