Where did you get married?

We’re not getting married until August 2025, however have no idea where. We definitely don’t want it to be in our local area ( Lancashire ) not keen on Scotland either as we’ve both spent plenty of time there and want it to be “Special”
Just want some recommendations, don’t mind spending a long time travelling to get there. Thanks💒

We got married in a Scottish castle.

It was beautiful, the scenery and setting was gorgeous and the hospitality amazing. If it was recently I'd have instagrammed the shit out of it, but it was 20 years ago 😂

We are getting married on safari in South Africa and honeymooning in the Seychelles

Chester and we loved it .. it is a beautiful place with lots of lovely picturesque places.

In local church. As previous person said, you could only marry in church or registry office.

Scotland, couldn't think of anywhere more beautiful for a wedding to be honest. Married in our local church, had friends and family there to witness such a special moment and several years later we are blessed to look back at our wedding album, video and guest book, seeing loved ones who are unfortunately no longer with us.

If it's just the 2 of you I would go cancun/Caribbean and stay in a luxury hotel or upgrade to 1st class on a cruise

To be honest if it's just the 2 of you, I would just get married in a registery office before you go, save yourself the hassle of organising it abroad and then do the super luxury holiday

We got married in Bath Registry office with no fuss. Came home afterwards and carried on as normal. 😊
