Post wedding come down?!

Our wedding is nearly 2 weeks ago now and we are currently on honeymoon (of course I got a UTI the night before we flew, he then got a cold off the plane which I've now caught along with a dodgy tummy and heat rash - very flattering 🙄)

In the lead up, for someone who stresses over everything I was surprisingly serene, until the week before. The morning of I was freaking with nerves! I think work being really busy meant I couldn't drift off to thinking about the wedding and I think it helped we were fairly organised

The day itself was perfect

So why do I keep having bad dreams about the wedding going wrong/OH not wanting to be with me? Last night was about the third one in a row I've had one. Last night's treat was everything running late, no one being ready then everyone being rowdy during the ceremony!

Is it normal? I take antihistamines daily for hay fever and have been taking 2 types due to the heat rash, I usually live off tea when home but haven't had loads here as hot country however what I have had is caffeinated when usually I have dcaf

WTF is wrong with me why do I keep having horrible dreams?! I'm glad they weren't in the run up to it but why now?! Has anyone experienced similar? I've been absolutely exhausted and so far have fallen asleep within about 5 minutes (that can stay!) And then sleeping for 9-10 hours with maybe one wee pit stop. Even OH who is usually awake bright and early is sleeping later

Is there such a thing as a wedding comedown?

I think it’s probably just all the accumulated stress processing through your body and brain! Post wedding come down is real. Just enjoy the sleep if you can, and the holiday. Sure you’ll feel back to normal soon.

Aww congrats on your wedding. The stress I expect taking its toll. This is usually me every holiday, always, always get a cold sore come up on my lip on the plane. Hope you feel better soon.

Are you in any antibiotics? I usually get horrendous nightmare when I take them.

Congratulations on your Wedding, sounds like you need to plan a little trip with your DH. Having something to look forward to usually helps to lift my mood Wink

Bingo! Just realised I was on a 3 day course I got in last minute day of flight for our honeymoon antibiotics as typically got UTI symptoms the night before (so grateful for a previous thread on here where it came up!)

So yes it could well have been especially as the scary dreams stopped/lessened after those 3 days

Thanks to everyone who replied now got the complete blues as back home from honeymoon and I get Holiday blues at the best of times. Did manage to clear all our washing today at least so I don't have to look at the suitcases anymore
