Bridesmaid survival pack

TheGoodBanana · 07/08/2023 16:41

I am putting together a bridesmaid emergency pack for my bridesmaids, so far they have in;

Make up wipe
Safety pin
Imodium (if they have a nervous tummy)
Paracetamol
Rennie
Blister plasters (incase their shoes rub)
A mini nail file

Any ideas of anything else they might need on the day?

I have got them a thank you gift separate to this but this is just a little extra.

The last thing they will want is more stuff to carry round.

TheGoodBanana · 07/08/2023 16:48

Oh I didn't think of that, they are all staying over so I thought they would pop it in their rooms.

Bottle of water for if they've had too much!

Floppyear · 07/08/2023 16:52

Honestly… don’t bother. Put the money towards something else

autienotnaughti · 07/08/2023 17:03

It's a lovely idea and very thoughtful

TheGoodBanana · 07/08/2023 17:06

I have already done them with the things I have said, was just thinking of any extras, bottle of water is good, they will need that the next morning!

Is that the type of thing the bridesmaids do for the bride?

Oloi · 07/08/2023 17:08

If they can run up to a room for anything needed, this is a huge waste of time. Yeah, you might need a safety pin, but probably not.

TheGoodBanana · 07/08/2023 17:11

It's not exactly taking up hours of my day but I see where you are coming from.

I think I will leave them as is.

Very sweet of you, they should be doing this for you!!!

OP, posts about this kind of stuff don't tend to get the most positive replies but everyone is different and how boring life would be if we all thought the same!

An emergency bag is just one of those nice extras which don't cost the earth and even though they're not "necessary", it's still a nice touch- I'd end up doing something like this instead of focusing on things I actually had to do 😂

I've been thinking of other bits you could include, maybe some spare grips or a scrunchie or for when they get back to the room and want to just shove their hair up- there's loads of stuff like this on
SHEIN or TEMU

legalseagull · 07/08/2023 18:03

We put similar baskets in the toilets for all guests to use - hairspray , deodorant, sanitary items, plasters etc

shrodingersvaccine · 08/08/2023 11:48

A good thick conditioning treatment or hot oil - one of the sachets maybe if you just want a wee one.

The bridemaid type hair up takes me forever to dismantle and I usually have to get the grips out by loading my hair with conditioner so they slide out. I always forget to bring good conditioner for this, and so that's what I would appreciate as a bridesmaid. That, a can of coke and some crisps for the AM!

I think this is a lovely idea. I'm not the organised type who tends to pack bandaids and safety pins, so I'd be really pleased to have them just in case. It's not like they can only be used for the wedding - if they don't need them then or want to carry them around, they can use them another time.

You could put in some of those gel things people put in their heels to make them more comfortable. Or those roll-up ballet flats for late in the night if they want to take off their heels. Some cute tea bags for the next morning?

mini bottle of wine plastic cup :-)
