Finally getting married, help needed.

I have been with my partner for many, many years and we have finally decided to get married in our fifties. Plan is the registry office. Waiting on a call from them to book and pay for it. There will be a very, very small number of guests and maybe a meal later in the day.
what do I need? Why am I so nervous? It’s not the being married that worries me. It’s being responsible for others enjoying themselves and actually organising it.
Other half would be happy to turn up in something smart he already owns and just say yes. I would like a little more detail.

Book a hair appointment and make up trial.

Photographer
Champagne for a toast or book somewhere for a glass of bubbly after and some nibbles.
Book a table at a restaurant, don't stress about people enjoying themselves, that will come naturally as there's nothing like a wedding to put people in a good mood.

Decisions so far
Registry office- waiting for call
Cake - cake maker going to come back to us with some suggestions. It will be small.

Going to the hairdressers this week so hopefully I can book hair in.
Will probably drive ourselves.
Will do my own makeup.
Think we have a photographer. Son of a friend. Just an amateur but I am an amateur photographer too so we can get together and make a plan. Won’t want much. Just a couple of nice groups and one of the two of us.

It’s getting there 😀
Oh, and there will be champagne being bought!
