I’m MOH and bride wants 2 hen dos

I’m MOH for my friend. We have just got back from a costly hen abroad arranged mostly by myself, and the bride wants to go ahead with a further UK hen do, for a large group of perhaps 30 people. I have been honest with my friend from the start and said that I don’t have capacity to arrange another hen do, there are other bridesmaids but no one seems keen enough to take on the task on. I feel terrible about this but I have a 18 month girl and I’m the midst of moving homes in the next week. I also work full time. I feel like my friend and her family do not understand, am I being unreasonable?

Lol nope

She's a cheeky one ain't she?

Just tell her this. Nobody needs two hen dos.

Having a second get-together with loved ones who couldn't make it abroad is a lovely idea but she is perfectly capable of arranging it herself or finding someone else who might be willing if it's that important to her.

My experience has always been that Maid of Honour was really nothing more than a title given as an acknowledgement of close friendship, not that you are the bride's personal party planner.

Of course you are not being unreasonable. She can arrange it herself!

Your friend sounds like a spoilt brat. She had best tread carefully, because if you have any self-respect whatsoever, you will ditch her and her wedding entirely if she treats you poorly because of this.

Yes or the ones that didn’t make it abroad could help arrange it!
and honestly just a simple get together at a house or so, she’s already had a big one!

I agree with this.
