Soft drinks

Looking for ideas for soft drinks at weddings. We have quite a lot of non-drinkers attending....

I really like elderflower pressé but wondered if cordial was more cost effective. But it's not clear how many servings you can get out of a bottle of Belvoir cordial, and then there's the stress of getting the right cordial to water ratio!

Schloer seems OK but not very special.

Any suggestions? 😊

Crodino non-alcoholic spritz is lovely, like aperol spritz.

I love elderflower pressé but it’s quite an acquired taste. How will the drinks be served? Will they be out on a table or in a big dispenser with a tap on for people to serve themselves or behind a bar?
I’d not be thrilled with flat cordial but if it was with sparkling water I’d be happy. Maybe buy a bottle and measure in mls how many you like in a glass and just calculate that way. I imagine it would be the right strength for the majority of people.

Strawberry lemonade is always popular. And maybe some non alcoholic Prosecco?

These are all great ideas, thank you! The caterers will be pouring glasses for the guests. Maybe a nosecco type thing and some elderflower presse so guests have a choice?

Oh god, anything but Schloer! I find people are really divided about it so I'd avoid! 😂I think elderflower and nosecco sounds good, and maybe just some ice water with cucumber or something. Our wedding caterers made up a non-alcoholic fruit punch which went down very well, served in cocktail glasses it still felt a bit special and was delicious.

With the ratios, if you have caterers, can't you just tell them your plans and just ask them to let you know how much to buy for your numbers? They will probably work out the ratios for you - that's what ours did, and it was easy peasy!

Pink lemonade is fun or yea elderflower presse. As for the coat- if you're buying champagne/prosseco it will be a bit tight to serve non drinkers squash

Abigailandthefoxes · 28/07/2023 13:51

Our venue is giving us squash for the kids I’m yet to decide on something non alcoholic for the adults

Ostryga · 28/07/2023 13:53

Yes strawberry lemonade - you can buy the powder mix on Amazon (countrytime pink lemonade) it makes gallons of the stuff and is delicious. Quite sweet so I’d serve it with lemon slices.

Our venue are serving Schloer for those who aren't drinking - have opted for 75% red to 25% white

I may join them as I plan to alternate as I want to properly remember the day so don't want to drink loads and I am very partial to a red schloer 😋
