Scotland wedding not gretna

Hi thinking of a registry office wedding up in Scotland(I'm in England) but don't want to do the gretna green thing. Any suggestions of other registered offices to look at, reasonable travel distance from England and parking/hotels in the town centre of office.

We got married at Edinburgh City Chambers. It's lovely, inside and out but is right in the centre. Not much parking but taxis are easy and not too expensive

That's a quick reply,thanks.
Yes could possibly stay outside a city/town and get a taxi.

Another vote for Edinburgh city chambers, it’s really nice. Or Google St Margaret’s Chapel in Edinburgh Castle. It’s obv not a reg office but very special

In Scotland you can get married at any premises with a licence so there is no need to limit yourself to official Registry Offices. Find a lovely hotel/botanic garden/museum/castle.

We married at Glencoe House on a private deck with a view of the mountains. It was stunning ❤️

We're getting married at Dumfries Registry next week, everyone in the county books Greta Green instead so you can pretty much take your pick of dates. Then after the ceremony we're walking 6 mins round the corner for a set lunch (£34 for 3 courses!) at the Globe Inn, it's in the michelin guide and is lovely. There are just a dozen of us and they're letting us use the private dining room upstairs. Really looking forward to it. I know it is terrible to say this but I am probably more excited about a lovely lunch and getting to wear my new ring than the wedding ceremony bit...
