Wedding make up - false eyelashes?

I had my bridal hair and make up trial yesterday. I'm not used to wearing false eyelashes and she used some natural ones on me yesterday. Half way through the trial something didn't feel right and I said I thought the eye lash was coming off slightly on one eye, which it was! This doesn't give me a lot of confidence for the day...

So my question is should I just shop around for some extra strong false eye lash glue and go with the falsies? Or should I go for lash extensions? Or a tint and lift? This is a whole new world for me so apologies for being naive! Also the false eye lashes she used were very natural, almost a bit too natural as I usually like volume mascaras and I like a thick lash, although I don't want the lashes to look overly ridiculous like some false eyelashes can.

Any advice about lashes and the best types of false lash would be much appreciated. Our wedding isn't until October so I've got plenty of time to think about lashes and hopefully get it right.

You have plenty of time to use an eyelash serum to boost your own eyelashes if you want a ‘natural plus’ look.

I’ve been using the Typology serum for about three weeks now (no prostaglandins to worry about) and the difference is already very noticeable. Worth a try to just boost your own, and you can always go back to Plan A nearer the time if you’re not happy with them?

Thanks for all the advice everyone! In the past few days I've bought some strip lashes myself to practice with, and decided it's too fiddly for me. I don't know how people do this and make it look easy! I have watched you tube videos and then when I try it the eye lash ends up no where near the lash line!

I think I will go to the salon and ask about a tint and lift to see what it looks like. If all else fails I'll just ask the MUA to make sure the lashes stay on, surely she should be the expert about this but the fact one lash came off during the trial makes me wonder!

Mine used the smaller lashes they have like 2/3 individuals on, not sure what they’re called. Not had the wedding but they stuck on till bedtime and I had my trial at 8am. I had to give them W good old tug to get them off and she said she would give me a little tube of glue just in case.

Did the MUA not ask for your opinion on the lashes size or ask for any feedback? I wouldn’t be happy with them not sticking in the trial, she sounds a bit rubbish tbh.

@InAFettle yeah I'm starting to wish I had gone with a different MUA now! She didn't ask my opinion on the lashes, even before she put them on she just went straight for the smallest and most low impact false lashes I'd ever seen, I think my own lashes are better with the right mascara! She did mention she would give me glue but to come off in the trial isn't great so not sure I trust her glue! When I said I was worried about the lashes she just said to look into getting lash extensions.
