To decline a wedding invitation

So an ex colleague invited me to her wedding, she gave me a wedding invite (it’s next year). We were colleagues for few years, no friends in common, maybe saw each other few times outside of work but that’s it, we weren’t besties. But yet gave me an invitation. I do not want to go (it would involve travel, accommodation etc) my partner has been invited and met her once and did not like her Very much. How do I politely decline???

Just say you've got a holiday/gig booked. Many of those are a year in advance. Do so close to the RSVP deadline...

Just in the usual way by RSVP?

"Thank you for the wedding invitation. Unfortunately we can't make it, but we hope you have a wonderful day and we wish you every happiness"

Saving that when Rsvp comes round, thanks! I feel awful to decline but at the same time, I never expected to be invited!
