Unusual/quirky small wedding venues in Scotland

I think we’ll end up having a small wedding as although we could afford a big one, neither of us really want to spend £20k on one day. We’d prefer a small wedding then money on a good honeymoon.

I was looking at south queensferry registry office as we could have photos taken by the forth and queensferry is a pretty town

but got me thinking…

is there anywhere else we could marry that involved animals ? Horse/donkey sanctuary or similar or zoo or just something different ?

You can get married at Edinburgh zoo. It’s set up for having guests but they also do bespoke stuff

There is a farm near Jedburgh with highland cows which is amazing!

I got married in Edinburgh last year and had the most amazing celebrant if you are looking for one!

Remote country halls, pubs and churches with sheep along the roadside and the photos of the landscape could offer a unique venue.
