Wedding underwear - help!

Hello! Wondering if anyone can help me... I am having serious problems finding any underwear that will work with my wedding dress. The dress is high neck and covered on the shoulders, but open quite low at the back, meaning I can't wear a normal bra. My breasts are quite big, and EXTREMELY saggy - they don't hold themselves up at all, hang round my waist with no support! Sewing cups into the dress is not an option as it's extremely sheer/floaty material. I have tried a couple of low back bodysuits (eg Spanx suit your fancy) but they don't give me anything like enough support, I feel so uncomfortable. I have looked at things like Skims Fits Everyone bodysuits, which have the advantage of being stretchy and look more comfortable, but they are too high at the back.

Help!! Boob tape?? Can a tailor adjust shape wear? I just wish I could wear a normal bra and have done with it...

A stick on bra? (Not ideal for your wedding night admittedly!)

JanglyBeads · 09/03/2023 22:05

Um didn't you consider this when you bought a low-backed, floaty-bodiced dress - what did you think would work?

Unbridezilla · 09/03/2023 22:05

Will something like this work?

Can't vouch for the business, but I was considering a dress that was difficult to wear underwear with and this is the best i found

Helpful...

I had a similar problem with my wedding dress. I bought some boob tape off Amazon. I believe it was called kinesiology tape - works quite well!

RandomMess · 09/03/2023 22:17

Have you looked for low backed corsets?

Jenpeg · 09/03/2023 22:35

I would have an embellished strip or whatever is inkeeping with the dress details put across the back of the dress to conceal a bra

JanglyBeads · 09/03/2023 23:35

Apologies OP - but you must have had an initial plan?

Joystir59 · 09/03/2023 23:37

Can't help think that a different more structured style of wedding dress would be the best solution

JennyTheDonkey · 09/03/2023 23:50

Not sure if I'm understanding the style of your dress but I used one of these www.bravissimo.com/products/low-back-converter-32-pf104/#beige-pf104bge

My dress was low at the back and going sans bra was not an option.

JanglyBeads · 09/03/2023 23:54

That looks clever but would the strap showing at the front through the floaty stuff be problematic?

CC4712 · 10/03/2023 00:11

How low down the back does it need to be OP?

I actually agree with @JanglyBeads Surely this was a consideration when you 1st tried the dress on with a regular bra on full show? What did you think you'd wear underneath? Just curious as I too have massive, saggy boobs and chose my dress accordingly. Did you have something in mind at the time to wear?

Would a basque work as more supportive than a regular bra? www.bridal-lingerie-shop.co.uk/basques-8-c.asp

If you already have a bra that works, a converter might help:

Exactly.

Why not select a dress that actually suits you??

boingboingboingboing · 10/03/2023 01:17

I wore a backless dress back when I was breast feeding. I was really stuck for a secure bra so in the end I used ACTUAL gaffer tape. Loads of it.
Worked a treat, nothing moved at all.

BUT be very careful removing it as I pulled it too quickly and removed some skin too! 😩😩😩

Agapornis · 10/03/2023 01:37

Boob or kinesiology tape (same thing) is in my experience the only thing that will give you enough support. But be verrrry careful in taking it off and have a shower/bath first - otherwise your wedding night will be a night to remember for all the wrong reasons Grin.

WooWooWinnie · 10/03/2023 02:08

Could you get a panel put in the back of the dress to raise the back so you can wear a bra?

Mattietoes · 12/03/2023 19:16

Thanks for all the ideas and very sorry to those offended by my stupidity 😂 I'm obviously a total idiot and have only myself to blame, but the fact is I have now bought this dress and have to make it work somehow! I think boob tape sounds like the best way forward. Thanks and sorry again!
