Wedding dress

I’m looking for some advice, hopefully someone out there can help me.

I got married a few months ago, and still have my wedding dress. It cost me £1500, it’s an Ivory Mori Lee A-line, long length dress.

I’ve been searching high and low, how to sell it. One business came up, where they sell second hand / preloved wedding dresses, but they wanted a £25 listing fee.

I’ve tried all the selling sites, no luck selling it on them.

Has anyone else had an issue getting rid of their dress, or has anyone got any advice where I could sell it please?

TIA

I think selling second hand wedding dresses is quite difficult, I ended up selling mine for £50 on Vinted. People don’t want to pay hundreds for a dress they can’t try on and that might have small imperfections not clear in the photos, when returns aren’t possible etc.
You could try Rock the Frock preloved but I don’t think you’ll get anywhere near what you paid.

Thank you so much for the advice, I really appreciate it. I’ll try those websites and see if I’m successful. It’s a real shame isn’t it we can’t sell them, as they’re still beautiful. I really just wished I’d purchased a second hand one now. Stupid me!

thanks again, take care

This charity has often available wedding dresses from vintage and modern such as Benjamin Roberts and Balbier. Some of them retail for well over £1000. Great chance to get new dress for £250 www.ebay.co.uk/itm/385396813115

I got mine cleaned and boxed for £100 and have put it away. Ultimately I'll get barely anything for second hand selling and I really liked looking at my grandmother's dress once she'd died (although I would have loved to have looked at it when she was alive of course but we didn't know she'd kept it) . That was worth more than the resale I would have got for mine. If I come across anyone who wants to borrow it for their wedding day I'll do that but until then it's boxed for when I'm old or dead.

Just wondering what company boxed and cleaned your for £100. I'm getting quoted over 200 online? Thanks
