I am looking for something to buy my dad on his wedding day from his daughter.

Any ideas?

I'm assuming she's very little? I might make a heart-shaped cookie - about the size of the palm of my hand - and ice a message onto it?

I assumed it was the OP to her own DF? Wouldn't be the first time I'd got the gist of a thread wrong though

Wedding day gifts are so hard, you want it to be meaningful and not tacky.

I think something symbolic that he can keep is good. Cufflinks, a crystal whisky tumbler (if he likes a tipple), a watch. I would go for something like that, as good quality as I could afford.

My daughter bought me nothing but I told her not to as she is saving for her own wedding. My son and his girlfriend got me champagne and a picture of the church we got married in with our names and date of wedding underneath.
