June 2023 Brides

Hello...any other June brides about?

Starting to realise it's getting very close. So much is organised, but also so much to do and pay for.

Me! I posted on the August thread but it's not very busy, will repost here:

June 2023 here. I booked all my suppliers about a year ago so have:

Venue (including catering)
Photographer
Videographer
Celebrant
Florist/decor
Dress (number 2 as went off the first one...)
Bridesmaid dresses
Kilt hire arranged
Band and DJ
Cake (friend is doing it as a present)
Hair and makeup organised
Rings bought

Now we're 5 months out (!) we need to start finalising details like colour scheme and flowers, get our pre-wedding photoshoot done (photographer recommends this so we can get comfortable in front of the camera and get to know him), decide on a script for the celebrant, organise alterations for the dresses, buy a veil and jewellery (I just got my shoes), do a cake tasting, book a hair and makeup trial and pick music for the ceremony and reception. I was feeling organised for a few months but it's ramping up now.

Since I posted I've spoken to the florist so I've got my colour scheme more or less sorted (neutrals/pampas with flashes of rust/terracotta/orange and blue to tie in my bridesmaid dresses). Sounds shit but looks nice. My venue is massive and a barn with little natural light so to have added colour properly would have been prohibitively expensive.

We have done pretty much everything on the list, have my make up and hair trials soon but need to finalise the room set up. Sent the invites a few weeks ago and hardly anyone has RSVP'd so that's a bit frustrating as can't do the table plans etc x

I am August but please can I tag along ? 🤣❤️

I feel like as soon as the new year hit, it's become all I can think about and slightly overwhelming at times.

I have lots done but need to finalise bridesmaids dresses & rings. It's just all the little things I keep thinking about!!

The schedule for the morning is stressing me out but I think it should get easier once I have the timings confirmed with make up/hair for myself & bridesmaids.

@climbthathill129 I feel exactly the same, now it's 2023 it's consuming me. We're also moving house in the next month 🫠 totally overwhelmed. I chose my bridesmaid dresses quite early on but now I feel it's restricted me as I've had to base my colour scheme around them to an extent! Haven't even thought about the schedule for the morning, I have to say our wedding coordinator is fabulous so I have no doubt she'll keep me right.

@NoEffingWay oh fear, we've not ordered the invites yet! I think we still have time, but have been drafting some on Zazzle. What did you use for your invites?

Moving and getting married!! Sending all the love to you 🤣❤️ exciting year for you though!!

I have got my invites made on Etsy. Designed it all on the shops website myself using the templates. It was great and affordable.
