Seeking some witnesses pleeese. Exeter, 12 noon, 10.01.23 :)

Hi, does anyone know of any companies that can supply witnesses?
we are getting married 10 Jan just the two of us and to be honest I think we would prefer strangers to witness for us… has anyone done this before? Xx

I have seen other MNers previously being witnesses for each other…

I would love to but I am supposed to be working on the 10th! I hope someone can do it for you but I’ll keep an eye on the thread and maybe I can work from the office in Exeter if you are struggling.

Get MNHQ to edit your title to say you're seeking witnesses, date and place, and I bet anything you'll get 'em. People sort witnesses on here all the time.

Oh yes, get MNers to do it, there have been a few MN witnessed weddings over the years.

Sadly, I'm about 200 miles from Exeter!

Ahhh DH and I did this a couple of years ago for a Mumsnetter who was having a secret wedding in our local registry office. It was really fun!

Ask the registrar in advance to help out. If the office is shared with other Gov departments a couple of secretaries can likely be dragged from their desks?

I’m in complete shock that this is even possible 😂
just got a little bit excited that we don’t have to have so our vows in front of disproving eyes!
It’s both our second marriage and the MIL still carries a picture of my man and his ex wife in her purse! 🤯 Even though we’ve been together for over 6 years and have two boys together! My friends and family live miles away so can’t do it.
