Hi! I was proposed to last week and me and my fiancé will be going to look at rings this weekend. Just wondering what you thought to this? I have seen it online and I like it. Would obviously have to try it on first.
What ring did you go for?

thanks

It’s you who has to wear it!
I wouldn’t like that as it’s a bit fussy for me with the smaller stones all round but rings are so individual.
just try a few on and see what you like.

I will add that I almost never wear my engagement ring 25 years down the line. Not because I don’t like it I’m just not a ring wearing person and if I do I tend to wear more costume jewellery

I don't like gold, so not for me but I like the main setting, not the stones in the band. It really does depend on the person. What type of jewellery does your girlfriend wear now?

SunshineAndFizz · 14/12/2022 07:37

Only matters if you like it.

A ring is far too personal for anyone else to comment on OP. If you love it, that's really all that matters, surely. Congratulations đź’Ť

Do update us when you have your ring đź’—

For me, I don't like gold and it's a bit old-fashioned (although for a ring you'll hopefully wear all of your life I suppose fashion doesn't much come into it).

BUT you probably wouldn't like my engagement ring, which I adore.

If you love it then thats enough, you'll be the one wearing it, and the one it means something to.

mumonthehill · 14/12/2022 08:26

You have to love it! Mine is very simple but I have worn it everyday for 23 years so it is important that you love it and will wear it. Mine is also sapphire and diamond. When we went to look I knew the type of ring I wanted but when I tried it on it was not me at all, so ended up with something very different.

Congratulations 🎉

It looks like it might get caught on clothing?
Other than that; it’s pretty and a bit reminiscent of princess Diana’s ring.

Id go for something plainer just because you’ll be wearing it for years (hopefully)!

Enjoy your ring shopping x

I think it's really pretty. I personally prefer a single stone but that colour is lovely. I also love a gold ring.

LadyKenya · 14/12/2022 08:37

It is okay, not for me. But do you see yourself with it? That is all that matters, really.

Batcountry8 · 14/12/2022 08:39

I'd be concerned about it catching on things, it's quite prongy.

I like the stone colour tho.
