Honeymoon uk weekend getaway.

I’m planning a very very low key wedding in a few weeks and looking at going away somewhere in the uk for 1-2 nights

where would be your recommendation?

Travelling from midlands and ideally don’t want to go further than 2 hours by car.
Happy with city break (but not London) or country retreat, or even a lovely spa.

basically I’m in need of suggestions as haven’t got a clue where to go!

York (probably more than 2 hours)

I would find somewhere in the Peak District National Park

Book a hotel/lovely Airbnb in Castleton, Derbyshire. It’s picturesque, lots of things to do and see plus Bakewell is next door and you can eat the incredible proper Bakewell tarts every day. I haven’t been for ages and I still dream of them!
