I'm after a bit of experience on the cost and logistics of a Christmas wedding, whether that's from someone who's planned one or from vendors.
Got my heart set on a Christmas wedding and deciding between having it on either a Saturday in December or a weekday between Christmas and NY (likely Thursday 28th December 2023, if that makes a difference). Ideally we'd rather a Saturday in early December, as we won't have the last minute wedding stress on Christmas Day itself, but some venues offer a big discount for weekdays, so having it between Christmas and NY could save us £2k!
We wouldn't want to save money by having it on a weekday in early Decrmber, as we don't really want to ask our guests to take a day off work for it (and know people often take the period between Christmas and NY off anyway).
So, my question is, if we were to have it between Christmas and NY, are we likely to struggle to find vendors willing to provide eg flowers/a cake etc? Or are they likely to charge a premium, as they may have to spend their Christmas preparing? Just worried what we save on venue cost will get cancelled out by other costs anyway.
