Not invited to hen do

Do others ever feel really sad when they turn up to a wedding to find out that many others (who you felt were equally close friends) have been to the hen do but you knew nothing about it? I had this tonight and it really stings! Can sort of ruin a wedding!

No, I have no interest in drinking Tequila Rose through a penis straw, wearing a feather boa or covering myself in Silly String.

I’d be relieved.

I’ve never done any of that at a hen do, sounds like you have a different type of friends to me.

Yes OP, I would be upset too. But I would also find it bizarre that they would invite me to their wedding where they pay £100+ for my meal but not invite me to a hen where I would pay for myself.

Are you sure your invite didn't get lost in the post?

Usually all and sundry are invited to the hen do but only the special people to the wedding.

Don't suppose it's more to do with your relationship with the chief bridesmaid (who probably organised it) rather than the bride?

I don't think it did! But never mind...!! Feel a lot less bothered the next day! Thanks all.
P.S. have never ever seen silly string or feather boas at a hen party.
