Giving notice in separate counties

My fiancé and I currently live in two separate counties, (not countRies) therefore we have to give notice in each of them. Do we both have to attend both appointments?

TIA 😆

We are getting married in another parish (but within the same county.) our banns had to be read at both churches. We didn't attend church service at our local church. But we did have to attend the 6 services at the church we are getting married in. I hope that makes sense (and that's is relevant!)

Our banns had to be read in three counties. They have to be read in each church on three Sundays before the wedding.

You don’t have to be present at any of the readings, although it is encouraged. We managed to be there for at least one reading in each church.

If you aren’t getting married in a church…

Civil marriage ceremonies

Giving notice

You and your partner must give notice of marriage in your local Register Office, whether or not you wish to marry in that district. If you and your partner live in different places, you’ll both have to go to your own local Register Office to give notice.
