Cheap Designer Wedding Dresses to Buy Online

I've been looking around for a wedding dress and of course, we're on a budget. However, I saw this website advertised selling Discounted Designer Wedding Dresses online. Has anyone used this company before?

Area code is Pontypridd, but no address and no listing on Companies House.

The website is shit, with no updates for colours in the different styles.

Avoid.

I contacted these and they said they were purely an online business with no physical address. They sounded genuine on the phone. I thought the website was okay, easy to search for products and navigate around. I hate these websites that have so much fancy stuff going on it's murder to use on a mobile. Dresses are a bit out of my price range though.

Every company has to have an address - where are all these clothes warehoused, for a start?

You don't have to have a shopfront to be a successful business, but a listing on Companies House, with all the directors and accountants is essential.

The website is as dodgy as fuck and the lack of any names, addresses or company listings is dodgier still.

If you want a higher-end dress but can't afford it, look for a sample dress (boutiques often cut the prices significantly) or else buy secondhand on a reputable site that has buyer protection, like Stillwhite. I got my dress on there. It would have been £3000 new and I bought it for £800. Having a preloved dress made it feel even more special - the woman I bought it from was so excited for my day and happy to tell me all the things she'd liked best about the dress.

There is also a business called Bridesdress Revisited or something like that who have a huge range of secondhand and sample gowns, which they will post out for trying on if you don't live nearby. I almost went with one of theirs before I spotted mine on Stillwhite.

As far as I can see all this business does is pass on orders to suppliers, check the goods on arrival and ship them off to you. They are cheap as they are avoiding the costs of a bricks and mortar shop near you. They even have the nerve to tell you to go to a local shop and try on the dresses there before ordering with them (and to try and find out which seamstress they use for alterations so you can take your dress to them when it doesn't fit). So their business model essentially relies on your getting an expensive service from a local (probably independent) business and then undercutting it to get the sale. Nice.

Search for local bridal outlets near you.
they sometimes start dresses at £99
previous samples etc.
