Hi All

I’m wanting a small intimate wedding, I’ve researched registry offices and Chelsea Old Town Hall keeps popping up and a beautiful venue.

However I’m in Yorkshire and don’t have any ideas of a suitable venue for afterwards. Nothing major formal as will be children and adults.

Thanks

If you search for Chelsea Old Town Hall on rockmywedding then you can find people's wedding that have taken place there and see where they chose for afterwards!

I've only been there for a reception - it worked really well.

Book a big family table at La Famiglia up the road. It's an easy walk and a really nice place.

Where in Yorkshire?
lots of Yorkshire registry offices just as nice as Chelsea and without hundreds of pounds in travel costs for guests

York is lovelyl, Leeds , Harrogate, Northallerton

Someone i know used the Bluebird's function room after chelsea town hall. But is it worth the travel?

It's really not worth travelling down for, I mean it's nice ( I got married there) but there will be loads of lovely places near you.

My friend got married there then we all walked to The Chelsea Pig for bubbles and canapés :)

Chelsea registry office is on a main shopping road, and yes it is lovely and being reasonably local I can see why people choose it but you come down the steps on to a pavement that is generally pretty busy, loads of traffic too. Imagine if the road outside Harvey Nichols in Leeds was open to traffic - it’s a bit like getting married there.
Having said that, Bluebird is lovely if you are able to book in there. If people are driving parking is about £6 an hour on the roads around Kings Road. Lots of cabs though.

I can't recommend a nearby venue.
We got married there with two witnesses off the street and then we hopped in a cab to Claridges just the two of us.
I think it's definitely worth the travel, I loved the whole iconic thing of getting married in the same place some of my favourite people did.
Japanese tourists were doing the rounds when we went.
I came down the steps to a load of them taking photos of me it was bloody fantastic !

We were in the small room too 😊

We’re only planning a small wedding, just close family which includes children. Just wanted to make it a fun weekend.
Also wanted to combine it with our flights for our honeymoon which will probably be from Heathrow.
