Where to have wedding??

I’m back again (I know a lot of people who are engaged and planning weddings) another friend brought up that they’re struggling to decide where to get married, they both grew up and met in Chorley, they had their first date somewhere in north wales but now live in London. They have family and friends coming from both London and Chorley and have afew form other areas but the majority are form either London or Chorley. Would it be better for them to find a venue in between the two or just pick one??

I would choose Chorley

They’d be better choosing somewhere they like and can afford that’s not too difficult/expensive for guests. Be that London, Chorley or elsewhere.

You could go for the area that will have the least people travelling. Or close to someone like an elderly relative who might find travel difficult.

However, I would go with what you personally feel like you want the most, where you will be happiest. Maybe consider budget? I presume it will go further in Chorley than London.

Also, if many people are travelling anyway consider somewhere that is neither Chorley or London that is meaningful you to as a couple. I know a couple getting married in the Cotswolds as they love it and it’s where they got engaged, this couple might consider North Wales for that reason.

Do you mean halfway between Chorley and London? That is the worst solution - it will suit nobody. It's better to annoy half the guests than all of them.

Are they planning to have evening guests and are most of those work colleagues?

We had a choice of London or Cambridgeshire. We picked London because;

We lived there so less travelling for planning
Our evening guests were mostly all colleagues who mostly all lived in London. I personally am not keen to travel for an evening do

The church we live near fitted the best for the wedding we wanted.

ywha quite a lot of the evening guests are work colleges (mostly in London just a few in Chorley) and the majority of the family live in Chorley

Family tend to be willing to travel to weddings, evening guests not so much.

I'd pick London.
