Best Day Of The Week To Get Married

I’ve got a friend who’s planning on getting married in November but she wants to know what day of the week is the best to have a wedding on, I would say a Friday or Saturday but we’d love to hear other peoples opinion.

Saturday. A weekday means the majority will need to take as least 1 day off work and with a Sunday you'll find people will start leaving early due to work the following day.

Saturday. Which is why every Saturday in summer is booked for ages beforehand.

A wedding on a Friday if everyone lives nearby and it's in the evening is just about OK. And Sunday if no one drinks.

Surely the answer is obvious? Why would anyone think it wasn’t Saturday ( unless for religious reasons)

Unless the vast majority of guests don't work or are on varied shift patterns.
It is unfair to move the burden of costs from your wedding onto the guests by making them all take annual leave to attend just so your wedding can be cheaper.

A Saturday. Or a Sunday if it's followed by a bank holiday Monday.

No question at all.Any day other than a Saturday means that the guests may have to take holiday to attend.

Even on a bank holiday weekend, Saturday is better. Our venue didn't have an event on the Friday so we got to go and set up early and more time to get everything ready, whereas they'll always have one on the Saturday and the people after us on Sunday had to come later.
