Have I settled for the dress too soon?

Just having second thoughts.

I have purchased my dress today! I love it.

However it was the second one I've tried on and I just felt like I didn't need to try any more on as none would beat it.

Went ahead and bought it even though it was 3x the budget I had in mind 🤦🏻‍♀️

Now I'm sat here thinking I've rushed, I should've tried more dresses on, what if something else better will come out .. why did I go over budget?!

Has anyone else felt like this before? How can I shake my thoughts off? 😂 should I call them in the morning and cancel my order to try more dresses on? Only 6m to go until the wedding so I'm running out of time

I didn't try on many. The one I did buy looked and felt great.

I'd be a bit

Sorry, pressed post by accident.

I'd be bothered about 3 times the budget, unless you can afford it of course Wink

LoudingVoice · 02/07/2022 20:20

They probably won’t let you cancel the booking, I did similar, ended up selling it and buying another one.

My advise is just stop looking at dresses now, you loved it when you tried it on so it must be lovely, move on to thinking about other wedding plans.

Shedcity · 02/07/2022 20:20

i don’t think it matters how many you’ve tried on.
Can you afford it?
do you love it?

the budget would be my only question really. And if you’re not 100% on the dress now on the day you’ve bought it will you be happy on the day. Imagine yourself in it - are you happy?

can you cancel it for now or put it on pause to think about it. and go look a bit more around your budget and around the budget of the dress you’ve bought
I think if you look online and don’t love anything as much in the next 24 hours then that’s your answer

I loved the first dress I tried on. So I bought it.

The important thing is how you feel about it.

PrimroseWharf · 02/07/2022 20:37

I bought the second one I tried - no regrets!

mnnewbie111 · 02/07/2022 21:27

I chose the second I saw and loved that it meant I didn't have to keep looking. Your gut is right. Congratulations

HappyAsASandboy · 02/07/2022 21:29

I bought the second one I tried on. Didn't try any others after it abs felt amazing on the day.

Decide whether the budget-bust is an issue and whether the shop will do anything to resolve it. If you can live with the budget and/or the shop won't help, then don't try on any more and LOVE your dress!

Thanks all for your advice.

I've decided to stop looking at dresses and just remember the way I felt in my dress

I can't wait for it to be ready 😃
Now all the rest to do .. shoes / accessories.. how do people make these choices?! There's sooo many options 😅😂

In regards to the budget. We should be fine as I can cut down on other things to cover for the dress 🤭

I bought first dress and never thought about any other.
Have a lovely day!

TheOriginalClownfish · 05/07/2022 14:36

I bought mine years ago when the original plan was a quickie wedding, and I've never seen another dress since that made me regret picking mine.

Sometimes when you know, you know.
