Groomsmen Colours??

hello, im getting married in October and I’ve decided on my dress, hes decided on his suit and we’ve agreed on the colour for the bridesmaid dresses but we have no clue for the groomsmen. (Have posted before on a different site but wants to see peoples opinions on here) My fiancé wants to stand out so he would like a different colour suit from the groomsmen but I’m unsure if it’s too many colours. I’m wearing white, my fiancé is wearing green and the bridesmaids are wearing a rust colour (I’ll attach pictures for similar colours) so any opinions appreciated

thanks in advance :)

the groomsmen wearing black would be fine.
or were you thinking brown or grey? that might be a bit too much.

@fallfallfall We didn’t really have any idea but I think black will be the best option, would you also do a black tie or would you do green or rust??

In the UK ushers see what we call them usually.

This might help:

+At formal weddings, ushers traditionally wear the same suit as the groom and the best man. Typically, the groom’s suit will have a feature that makes him stand out from the crowd. For example, his waistcoat or tie might be a brighter colour. But the rest of the wedding party wear matching outfits.

It’s important that all the ushers wear the same thing, so that your guests can immediately recognise them if they need help finding their way around. But if you’re having a more casual wedding, or having female ushers, there’s no need for them to wear formal suits. The choice is yours.*

What about brown? I'm thinking you've got autumn forest so would brown work? Feel free to look aghast.

That green suit I thought would be hideous byf I love it.

Black night be the best option tho, it'll only be a few shades darker than DH. But def coloured tie

How about the green suit with the light brown waistcoat here and then invert the colours for his groomsmen?

Lovely colours!
An accessory in a different colour ti the groomsmen may work?
My Husband wore an off-white cravat, where the groomsmen all wore a black one - their outfits were otherwise the same (whole scheme was black with off-white/ivory).

When did British people start saying groomsmen, and for that matter when did bridesmaids start coming in first? I organise weddings (church) and this is now the norm. I blame Say yes to the dress!

Brown or navy with ties the same colour as bridesmaids.
