Reward credit card - good or bad?

I got engaged this week (eeek!) and we are starting to plan. We want to get married next year.

we are thinking of getting a reward credit card to earn points or rewards for some of the honeymoon. We would pay it off as we went along. Has anyone done this? Which would be the best one?

Yes, I did this and it helped towards our honeymoon air miles. American Express cards are the best for reward air-miles as far as I am aware, however they are charge cards so they MUST be paid off every month or you will get a bad credit score. So if you have the money ready to go they are ideal but not if you need longer to pay things off. Another thing to consider is not everywhere accepts it (although most big places these days do). Also you can’t use the points on any flight, it’s normally just specific ones or you can use the points to upgrade x
