Hen Party Gift Suggestions

I am unable to attend my friend's upcoming hen party and was looking for present ideas. I think I would prefer to get a few little things, rather than one big present. Going to spend 80 - 100! 😊

Are you crazy? This surely isn’t a thing??

maeveiscurious · 02/05/2022 07:14

I think at most it's a nice lunch out to hear how it went

ImInStealthMode · 03/05/2022 14:33

I couldn't attend my friends hen so I asked the organiser to get a bottle of Prosecco for them from me, and sent her the money.

DinoRock · 04/05/2022 15:28

That's ridiculous don't do that. I agree with PP, go for a meal out with her by yourself.

Tinktravels · 11/05/2022 18:42

Maybe something she can use for the wedding? Perfume, lipgloss slippers? X

fruitbrewhaha · 12/05/2022 16:32

No, you don't need to get her a present.

Thanks for the replies and helpful suggestions. As you can see from my OP I never asked whether or not I needed to get her anything. I want to get her something as she is a close friend and I can't attend! It doesnt bother me if it's the done thing or not, it's just something I want to do for her.

Think I am going to go along the lines of a mixture of @ImInStealthMode and @Tinktravels suggestions and get some prosecco and treats for her to enjoy the night before the hen starts when she is getting ready, packing, etc.

Why on earth would you give someone a present on a hen night???

Confusion101 · 12/05/2022 16:53

3rd time now to say it.... I cannot attend the hen party and want to get the bride a gift to make up for my absence because she is a close friend! I don't care whether people think it is ridiculous or not or whether or not it's something they would do. It is just something I want to do, that's why I asked for suggestions on potential presents not what people thought of getting a present in the first place!

I would take her for a nice lunch to hear all about it and talk about the wedding plans. Sometimes it's nice to see someone one on one.

Or again as someone suggested something for her wedding like a perfume or take her for a manicure or pedicure or massage

I think it's a lovely idea

Confusion101 · 12/05/2022 16:58

Thanks @mcplant love the manicure / pedicure idea, both of us get a treat and I can hear all about it!! ☺️
