Something old, blue new and borrowed

Tell me what you all had as your something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue! Looking for some unusual ideas 😊

Lovely question! I bought Rainbow Club wedding shoes and they all have a blue gem on the bottom of the shoe. Thought that was a nice touch. So that was my new and blue. I also borrowed an old hair clip.

Something old - lace trimmed handkerchief made by my great, great grandmother
Something new - shoes and earrings, my dress was new to me but pre-loved
Something borrowed - my veil
Something blue - little ribbon on a garter, and my eyes too!

My wedding shoes were blue
Something old - two lockets with my Grandad and Paps picture in wrapped around my bouquet stem, one of which I borrowed from my Mum.
I seem to remember a bridal shop saying that some designers sew a little blue ribbon into the dress, something less for the bride to think about.

Old: a ring of my grandma's (deceased)
New: a necklace my DH had bought me
Borrowed: bracelet from my MIL
Blue: a blue flower hair pin
... and a sixpence in my shoe from 1945

Blue pants!

Borrowed = my wedding ring. I didn’t want a wedding ring permanently so for the ceremony I used my great grandmother’s, lent to me by my granny

Old = the ring, also a necklace given to me by my other granny

New = everything else.

Blue - navy bridesmaids ?? Does that count haha

Old - My granny's eternity ring
New - Dress, veil and shows
Borrowed - A clutch bag My bridesmaid had for her wedding
Blue - A blue ribbon was sewed into my dress and my garter

Old - my late grandmother's eternity ring
New - dress or shoes (my shoes were fucking fabulous!)
Borrowed - an aunt in close to lent me the bracelet she wore as mother of the bride to my cousin's wedding
Blue - I had a garter with blue ribbon in it

Old: a bangle DH had gifted me years before. I also had an original silver sixpence in my shoe (like the last line of the rhyme).
New: dress, veil, shoes etc.
Borrowed: a tennis bracelet and a charm with special meaning I pinned inside my dress.
Blue: A bouquet charm in the shape of a little guardian angel in memory of my dad. It was made with blue beads. Shoes also had a little blue label inside meant to tick this box too.

I'm borrowing the sapphire earrings my DM wore on her wedding day. So that's old, borrowed and blue all in one go. I'm nothing if not efficient!
