Help

Due to get married soon and this is the only thing I'm stuck on!!

Thought of hangover bags- but then what do you put in them without costing a fortune

A dough"not" forget doughnut on the way out

A little shot bottle with a saying on ?

Any ideas I really don't know an don't want to spend a fortune on these

My mum did cross stick pictures and had them framed for all the guests at my sisters wedding.

I had Love Hearts made up with a thank you message. Not expensive, and most were eaten or taken home - we had very few left behind!

Also…Went to a wedding where our names where painted on pebbles as place names doubling up as favours. Still have them 20 years later.

My experience when I used to work in events was that unless something was immediately edible (chocolate/sweets) a majority were left behind. Even gifts which were thoughtful like seeds, homemade jam, homemade alcohol, soap all got left behind. Just seems like such a waste. If you are really wanting to do something I'd have something they that can consume when they are seated at the table, not something which they'll need to take home with them.

We put jägerbombs/gin miniatures on each place setting. Started the evening do off well Grin

Always edible or they get left on tables

We did pink white chocolate hearts from eBay think £12 to do 80 of us

Had a few bags left over due to covid no shows so they went into my daughters sweetie bag

We had biscuits in a little cellophane bag. They pretty much all went. It was a nice past-midnight snack for people to eat on their way home.

Everyone at our wedding was drinking a cocktail the barman came up with for us. It was in a tall glass so we got a loads of cocktail stirrers with different animals on top in gold (one of the decor colours). As people walked in we asked them to choose one. It was a great conversation starter and then helped everyone tell the drinks apart. I keep seeing them in my friends homes so they definitely got taken as momentos and I saved mine - they don't say our names on but they are very distinctive and always remind me of the day.

The best wedding favour I've received was a friend having a burger/fries food truck turn up at the end of the wedding. Bliss!

We didn't bother.

You could always just get some sweets and scatter them on the tables.

ANameChangeAgain · 01/02/2022 09:33

We just had little organza bags containing the traditional 5 sugared almonds, for the good fortune symbology.

I wouldn’t bother, we might not. But if you are, something edible and not too expensive so you don’t get upset if people leave it behind.
