Just that really , we are getting married in May , we gave notice this week and the booklet says to have music while guests arrive, then my entrance, then signing of the book , then leaving ... This is second time round for us both , I have no ideas of what to have ... as for the first dance that's another one! We like all music ... any ideas ladies so I can look them up x

At Last?

Softleftpowerstance · 07/11/2021 19:09

I saw the title and immediately thought “please not At Last”. It is such a cliche and seemingly used by anyone who gets married after 30.

sohypnotic · 07/11/2021 19:10

I walked in to José González - Heartbeats

Signed register to Ben Howard - Only Love

And walked out to Nick Cave & Bad Seeds - Breathless

Do you want the music to remind everyone that it’s the second time round for you both? That wouldn’t appeal to me and I don’t think you should assume it’s obligatory.

But a sense of the music you like or mood you want to evoke would help people with suggestions.

Thank you for those suggestions I'll have a listen , we are a jolly pair and we listen to all music so no preference

I had
Walking on the waves by skipnish
Take my hand by skerryvore for signing register
I would walk 500 miles by proclaimers to exit to

Normandy144 · 10/11/2021 20:27

I walked in to Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros (you'll know it when you hear it) and then we walked out to 70s classic Love is in the Air by John Paul Young.

Antiqueanniesmagiclanternshow · 10/11/2021 20:30

How about some classical music? Clair de lune by debussy?
Or mio babino caro?
Arrival of the queen of sheba?

TheDogsMother · 10/11/2021 20:38

It was second time around for us too and we were both worried about blubbing if the music was too emotional, so we went light hearted. We walked in together to Queen, You're my best friend, signed the register to Madness, It must be Love and Stevie Wonder Signed, Sealed, Delivered and walked out to Pharrell Williams, Happy.

Aww thank you all so much I'm going to listen to them all at the weekend you have been so helpful Smile

We walked in to . Lovely song and beautiful chorus, what marriage should be about:

“Let's, let's stay together
Loving you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad...”

TrampolineForMrKite · 11/11/2021 22:10

Also, we walked out to ‘You’re the One for Me, Fatty’ by Morrissey. Everyone laughed and it was great. Don’t be afraid to be funny as well as sentimental.

Disfordarkchocolate · 11/11/2021 22:15

We had The Humming Chorus by Puccini. and This Years Love by David Grey as part our wedding.

Punkyfish3000 · 11/11/2021 22:24

I didn't have guest arrival music but these were my choices for all other topics mentioned (my wedding was a church wedding so apologies if your wedding is not of a religious nature):

Entrance music: Here Comes The Bride (from Lohengrin)
Register signing music: How Can I Keep From Singing? by Camilla Kerslake ()
Exit music: The Wedding March (from A Midsummer Night's Dream)
First dance music: Hold On by Wilson Phillips (very poignant for us as we've battled a lot of demons)

It was also my husband's second time around as he'd been married previously

Notmydaughteryoubitch · 11/11/2021 22:35

I walked into Losing You - John Butler Trio

We walked out to Pencil of Lead, Paolo Nutini
