Under wear, under your dress

So I have a lovely bra and knickers

But do you wear tights, if so what colour?

I have very fat thighs so can't wear hold up stocking and a tummy over hand so can't wear a garter belt

I just not much of a girl in dresses 🤷‍♀️🙄

Your probably won’t need tights for warmth under a wedding dress. If you want them for comfort just wear nude tights or maybe even chub rub shorts?

PinkFootstool · 18/09/2021 14:26

I had on comfy knickers and chub rub type shorts 😂. No point in being uncomfortable all day and if you're wanting a romantic undressing moment (my mate undid my dress in the hallway before I retired as DH couldn't be trusted with the fiddly buttons...) then switch out for pretty knickers before you get to that point!

Summer wedding, so no tights just plenty of sunscreen. Are you expecting to be cold?

snanagram · 18/09/2021 14:27

chub rub shorts

On your wedding day - and they say romance is dead Grin

Sorry, I do know what you mean, but this is such a horrible description.

Outbutnotoutout · 18/09/2021 14:31

No it won't be cold, just didn't know if it's the done think or not

And that should have said tummy overhang

Hopefully that will be going once I get some cash!!!

I did buy a pull you all in sort of swimsuit attire, but thought it wasn't so romantic

I wore inside-out-knickers under mine. Not intentionally of course but made for an amusing moment when I got undressed at the end of the night!

PinkFootstool · 18/09/2021 14:34

@snanagram it's literally their name. I'm a size 20 these days, but have had problems with thighs rubbing since I was a skinny size 8 teen. No thigh gap here!

I just wore bare legs under my wedding dress, much more comfortable than tights or stockings would have been.

You're going to be wearing this all day / evening , I wouldn't be worried about being romantic under your dress. Wear comfortable underclothes which give you a good structure - I wore a full body shapewear suit which made my dress look great. For the wedding night, change into the romantic garments at that point.

We are getting married in secret with two witnesses

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I do know that it is the actual name for something and a great product, I just think that they could have come up with an alternative name that doesn't sound quite so graphic/clunky - particularly in the context of a wedding.

FuckingFabulous · 18/09/2021 15:51

I wore nothing under my dress!

Outbutnotoutout · 19/09/2021 17:18

I have bought so sexy but comfortable knickers, yes there is such a thing.

No tights, stocking or such like

And a pretty garter that fits round my fat thigh.

Thank you ladies 😁

I've bought something called the bridal bra to wear under my dress as it's open a lot at the back. I didn't want to wear shorts as well so
lately I have been using liquid talc from home bargains. It's a game changer
