Dressing Best Women

My groom is having two best women rather than best men. How do you dress them?

I was thinking bridesmaid dresses but in a different colour to the bridesmaids? So if DP is wearing a navy suit, get them navy dresses?

Or would they just wear the same as the bridesmaids?

I think your first idea is nice.
I think they should be distinguishable from the bridesmaids.
They should complement the groom.

I think doing bridesmaid dresses in the grooms colours is a great idea. Still matched the theme, and differentiates from the bride party.

My DH had a female friend on his side of the bridal party. I discussed with her what she felt comfortable in and we settled on a dress similar to the bridesmaids but still distinguishable. My bridesmaids were in long dresses and she wore a shorter dress (just below the knee) in a similar style, same colour. The male friend I had on my side of the bridal party just wore the same as the best man (kilt) but it looked fine because my dad and FIL were also in the same outfit.

Thanks, I have been best woman before and just wore the same as the bridesmaids but I think I would prefer them to be in the grooms colours. Just didn't want it to look weird!

My sister was best woman when two of her friends got married. She would have stepped down if they insisted on her wearing anything that said "bridesmaid dress"

We decided on Jumpsuits in the same colour as the grooms suit. One of the best women definitely is not comfortable in a dress and the other wouldn't be comfortable in a traditional tuxedo so a jump suit is a compromise. Long sleeves, draped front kind of thing.

My DH had a best woman at our wedding. She wore a jacket and skirt in a colour that complemented the bridesmaids’ dresses, plus a corsage-type thing that matched the ushers’ buttonholes. She looked lovely.
