How long do wedding dresses take...

Going to look at wed2be as dd likes a number of those dresses but if we do end up at wedding shops how long do dresses take to get made? Sure when I was looking it was around 8 weeks for some but dd has a friend whose sister's dress took 8 MONTHS.
Wedding is in early July, we are thinking of looking end November/December ?

I’d look now, lead times are longer due to suppy issues and brexit. Better looking early and finding something you love than late and having to pay rush fees or be unable to get your dream dress!

I got my dress from wed2be and I took it home the same day. Alterations have taken a few weeks. Bridesmaid dresses on the other hand take 10 weeks...

Getting married in 2 weeks and bought my wedding dress in May. Started alterations in August.

Depends on whether it's off the peg or not. Don't forget second hand options like oxfam bridal

Mine was in an end-of-line sale so we took it home that day!

Ideally 6-8 months, but with the current state of humanity, I’d aim for as long a lead time as possible!

If you do go to wed2be OP bear in mind what I said about bridesmaid dresses if that is relevant at all. Just because mine almost didn't turn up on time. I ordered them in May and they had to come from Vietnam.

If you buy at Wed2b if it's off the peg so you take it with you on purchase.
