Bump already showing, worried about fitting in wedding dress

I'm about 8 weeks and already have a small bump, my wedding is in 6 weeks. I've yet to have alterations but my last alterations appointment is 3 weeks before the wedding! I'm worried I won't fit in my dress on my wedding day. I didn't think I'd show until after 3 months?!

Is it your first? I wouldn't worry too much if so.

I'm 18 weeks with my first now - I was pretty bloated around 8 weeks, it stopped around 12 and then last week I started to look pretty "bump"y, although it comes and goes... Wednesday I looked pregnant enough that people offered me chairs, Friday I looked normal!

If you're worried, though, can you talk to a seamstress about any emergency ways to loosen your dress? I had to wear a back-up, back-up wedding dress last year and I was sure there was no way to alter it, but they came up with some inventive solutions. They did forget to adjust the straps, which meant they were massive and annoying all day, but the alterations around my body were great. It's worth a chat.

Congratulations!

No idea sorry but the PPs suggestion of talking to the seamstress now is a good one, she will definitely have experience.

Congratulations on the baby and the Wedding too Thanks

Thanks everyone, I'll see how it goes

I found myself much more bloated at 8 weeks than at 14 tbh. But it'd be safer to chat to your seamstress about it just in case!
