Corsages for Bridesmaids?

Hi Ladies, just looking for your thoughts on a very inconsequential wedding detail!

Would it be odd to give my 3 bridesmaids wrist corsages instead of bouquets?

Our venue is very informal, and basically a botanic garden so plenty of flowers around anyway; we don't need to go over the top with extras.

I'm just thinking about when I've been a bridesmaid and had to lug the thing about with me, trying to hold a drink and my dress off the floor and flowers too, and then a bag during the reception. And then there's trying to find somewhere safe to put the bouquets at the reception.

I'm starting to think that a 'hands free' option might be nice and simple, but not sure if it'll look odd?

Thanks!

I think that sounds really pretty and practical too.

I think that sounds lovely, and much better for your bridesmaids.

I've seen bridesmaids hands so so sore from holding boquets for a long time, they're surprisingly heavy and unwieldy.

And they always end up bruised on a table or stuffed in a pint glass. (the flowers, not the bridesmaid! Grin)

Either your florist or venue will supply vases for both your bouquet and your bridesmaids bouquets.
At our wedding they went by the cake table. There's really no need to be carrying them around once the post ceremony photos have been taken.

Also, carrying bouquets gives you something to do with your hands, walking down the aisle without them might look a bit awkward?

At the end of the day though, it's your wedding, your choice.
