Live music at registry office?

We're booking our wedding tomorrow (!) It will be at our local registry office and I'm just wondering if we'll be able to have live music at the ceremony or not?

Obviously I'll ask tomorrow and find out for definite but in the meantime I thought I'd ask here in case anyone knows.

(When I say live music, I was thinking a solo violinist to play a piece as we enter / leave rather than a full band or singer, if that makes a difference at all?)

We got married in a Registry Office and it was recorded music only. Things may have changed since then though.

It will definitely depend on the registry office. There might be a licensing issue for live music.

Thanks for the replies. I checked with the registrar and she said it should be fine :)

That’s great! Live music really can make a ceremony extra special.
