Tiny wedding - but I want a celebration

We had to cancel our wedding as I have bowel cancer and my OH was worried that with a bigger weekend event would be too much for me as he knows what I'm like and I would be running round doing stuff for the wedding and the reception, and fussing over our guests and making sure everything is absolutely perfect.

We've decided to have a very small ceremony (2 people!) and a very small reception for 14 people in a private dining room. I know its very small but I want it to be perfect all the same.

I have booked a hair & make up artist to make me look nice, and I have a lovely dress from Monsoon - not weddingy but lovely pale blue.

I am going to hire a wedding decorator to do up the room for me so I don't have to run around but Im not sure how I want it decorated as the theme I was going to have doesn't match the room. Any ideas on decorations?

I've decided that I actually want a (very small!) wedding cake so I have made some enquiries about that.

I'm doing goody bags for the guests as I was going to previously but not quite sure what to put in them now.

I think I'm just in a tizzy cos I wasn't expecting any of this and I'm not sure what sort of reception I want.

What have I forgotten, what sort of things would you do/want? I'd just like some ideas as I want to make it as special as possible, even though its a very small event.

When is your wedding op?

It sounds really beautiful.
I would go for white flowers and table accessories.
The favours with a small crowd - a little bottle of something (prosseco or baileys or something)
Just go pretty and simple and it will look stunning.
Best wishes - wishing you an enjoyable day and the best health you can be in Flowers

With goodie bags (if you have them bought) something like wildflower seeds in a little drawstring bag. Nice chocolates. Lotto ticket

That sounds so lovely OP.

I'd go with mini gin, little lavender plants or seeds, a nice soap, mini tissues etc, with your initials on if you are a fan of personalised touches. Have a look on Pinterest or Etsy for ideas.

Congratulations.

These Beebombs are rather nice and you wouldn't need anything else in the way of a goodybag as they are a bag and gift in one
