Lake district wedding

Hi!
My DP and I have been engaged for 7 years. We have decided we want a really small wedding in the lakes with under 20 guests. I don't know where to start! Does anyone have any ideas? Or possible locations? Thank you!

My brother got married at the Langdale Chase - just had the ceremony there and then the reception at the village hall in Ambleside. It was really nice.

Are you wanting a lakeside wedding? Lots of the hotels do packages? If that's your idea then I'd look at Ullswater - several hotels on the lake. And you could go on a steamer

It is a big area with a lot of hotels that do weddings. Can you narrow it down at all - budget, style, area, accommodation available etc.

Inn on the lake at ullswater is a beautiful wedding venue. I think on a weekday there isn't a minimum number requirement for guests.

Second this. We stumbled across it on a weekend away and it was set up for an outdoor wedding by the water. Was beautiful.

The Ryebeck in Bowness is lovely.

Have a look at Storrs Hall. It’s a beautiful little hotel in a gorgeous setting. We had a mini moon there and a friend got married there. They have the most gorgeous boat house you could stay in.

I would also recommend The Inn on the Lake at Ullswater.

A friend of mine got married at The Samling which was very nice!

My sister is getting Married at Cote How in Rydal. I went to a wedding at The Inn on the Lake on Glenridding.

My brother got married in a tiny church in Keswick. The Grange I think

Lordore Falls is a gorgeous hotel, stunning scenery and the staff really look after you.

We got married on Ullswater. Its a beautiful place.
We looked at Inn on the lake but felt it would work better for a bigger party. We had 45 in total.
We got married at the Sharrow Bay hotel (opposite side of the lake to Inn on the Lake) and the did a lake cruise after.
We did a bit of a wedding weekend (not everyones taste I know!)
And had exclusive use of Morland Hall (in Morland) for accommodation/after party.
We had a fish and chips van come on the Fri, full English buffet for brunch then a hog roast after the wedding.
It was an amazing weekend and was great fun.
I think Morland hall is holiday accommodation now but it did have a licence for weddings.

Overwater hall in North lakes. Just 9 rooms.
