White gold engagement ring

Hey I get married in just under two weeks and I went to the ring shop today and they've said I'm too late to have my engagement ring replated. They shined the diamond a bit but that's all they could do. Does anyone know any way that I could make my ring look at bit more shiny for my wedding day?

Tbh I left mine at home for the day and got it plated the following week! Could you put it in a cup of warm water/fairy liquid solution?

I didn't think I was meant to wear my engagement ring to the wedding, do you wear your engagement ring at your wedding?

KatyaZamolodchikova · 11/05/2021 19:29

I wore mine on my right hand during the ceremony and then moved it back to my left after the ceremony and after my wedding ring had gone on!

@KatyaZamolodchikova this is what I was planning to do but now worried its going to look a bit dirty next to my wedding ring

I'm also 2 weeks away 😬 how you feeling? I'm having mine done after also, didn't even think about it till a few days ago!

Try some other jewellers. I've had mine replated a couple of times at the same place and they're ready the same day.

Whymustyoubringinthebirds · 14/05/2021 09:57

Agree with previous poster, the place i get mine done is same day

SarahGel3 · 14/05/2021 11:03

@trevthecat I'm 8 days away now. I'm okay, tbh I think I'm in denial that it's so soon 😂
We've had to cancel 2 weddings so now we are just having a small ceremony this year with a bigger party next year. I'm still worried that I've forgotten something. How are you feeling??

@LubaLuca I live in the country and don't drive. Not many options near me. I wish Id just thought about it earlier.

Find a working jeweller in your area, they do it all on site and don't send anything away.
It's sensible to do it that way anyway, you don't have the added risk of incidents while in transit.
