Simple ceremony

So we have just booked to do a simple ceremony at our local registry office. We've discussed long and hard on what we wanted for our wedding and decided we just wanted to be together with 2 witnesses. No drama, no real organising and will make us happy. I'm just wondering if anyone else has done this? And if so, what did you wear? I'm struggling.. I mean i would like to look nice but I don't want a big fancy dress etc xx

I haven't done it but a colleague did, she wore a really lovely Bridesmaids dress and had Avery simple bouquet which she made herself.

I wore a 'nice dress from Debenhams'. It was ok I suppose but I am not a dress person so I didn't feel comfortable.
I would of prefered to be in jeans, a pretty tunic top and sandals if I am going to be honest because that is more 'me'. I wish I had been brave enough to do it but my mum and mother in law were all "you can't do that" Hmm
I would go for whatever is the type of clothing that you would wear on a night out or something if you want to be smart.
