What perfume are you planning on wearing on your wedding day?
I know it's a personal choice and will need to go shopping test them but just looking for some ideas of lovely perfumes?

I had Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede. I wanted something different but also similar to my usual palate. I made sure to get the bath foam and body cream too so that I could layer the scent. If you wear perfume regularly I wouldn’t advise straying too far from your usual scents. I also love Penhaligons for perfume.

Possibly la vie est belle by lancôme ♥️
or chanel mademoiselle we've had to postpone so many times it will depend on the time of year.

I’d just choose your favourite perfume that you normally wear and love, and that your fiancé likes. Why go changing?

Allthephotos · 18/04/2021 20:54

Maybe because it's something special on your wedding day and it can be a reminder of the day. Nothing wrong with wanting a special perfume for your wedding day.

In 1988 I wore Eau de Givenchy - light timeless & beautiful 💙

CoffeeBeansGalore · 18/04/2021 20:57

A classic is L'air du temps, Nina Ricci. Not overpowering & I love it!

MrsCaptainJakeBallard · 18/04/2021 20:59

Thanks for the suggestions everyone I'll have a look at all of these.

Yes to pp who said I just want something special for my wedding day & a reminder of the day Smile

I wore Chloe, more floral than I usually wear but had always settled nicely on me and wore it very occasionally. Still wear it every now and then and love the memories it envokes

BlankieBops · 18/04/2021 21:08

J’adore by Dior, utterly heaven!

ConnieCaterpillar70 · 18/04/2021 21:09

La vie est belle is lovely, warm and not overpowering.
Flowerbomb is similar and comes in a few different varieties.
Miss dior blooming bouquet.

Gazelda · 18/04/2021 21:21

I wore La Vie Est Belle and have worn it ever since.

I occasionally go for another perfume in the same family, depending on the season.

Jo Malone do a nice wedding experience, hand and arm massage, champagne, and scent testing. I bought a lavender scent from Jo Malone for the big day and now whenever I spray it the memories of the day come rushing back. Strange how scent can do that, I'd definitely recommend wearing something new so that you always associate it with that day!

BadEyeBri · 18/04/2021 21:43

I wore Jo Malone lime basil & mandarin. I usually wear fresh citrus type perfume so it was close to my usuals but special to that day IYSWIM. The smell does take me back.

JackieeWeaver · 18/04/2021 21:47

You can have a bespoke Jo Malone scent made for you, it's an in store appointment where you get to mix ingredients to create your own scent. I know a few people who've done it for something exclusive to them on their wedding days. They can also engrave the bottle for you too.

I wore Chanel Coco Mademoiselle - it's a bit more sophisticated than my normal perfume so felt special! When I went to buy it at the makeup counter in John Lewis (recently) I told them it was for my wedding and they gave me a bag of lots of different samples - worth a shot!

MrsCaptainJakeBallard · 22/04/2021 16:02

Thanks everyone some great ideas! I'll look in to the Jo Malone thing & will try John Lewis too.
