Finally tomorrow at 11.30am we are getting married after a rollercoaster 16 months. We were originally due to be married December 2019, but had to postpone as DPs was diagnosed with lymphoma and was mid a gruelling chemo schedule. Then the 2020 Corona hit.
DP is still receiving treatment and will have two major surgeries (primary lymphoma removal from neck and triple bypass surgery) some time soon. So we had booked to do the legal part on 29/1 again cancelled this time due to lockdown.
As soon as Boris announced the easing of lockdown we booked for 27/3 only to be told 48 hours later that Boris had changed his mind and marriages couldn't happen till 29/3.
So tomorrow at 11.30 am it is honestly at this point we both just want to be married. A party will happen at a later date with a celebrant and I will wear the beautiful dress at that point, but tomorrow is just about being man and wife. Though my wonderful florist is making me a bouquet - honestly she is more excited than I am,
Partly fuelled by DP having one sister who would likely throw her next of kin weight around if something went wrong with the surgeries and we weren't married.
