Honeymoon

Need some honeymoon ideas! Planning 2 weeks next January/February. Max 15 hours flight time from the UK. Wanting somewhere warm, pool and beach holiday with a bit of things to do as well. No max budget really.

Langkawi island we spent one of our honeymoon weeks there and it was awesome. We stayed at the Westin and also the st Regis...at Regis was fucking amazing but £££ Westin was pretty decent anyway though!

Second South Africa. I had a fortnight in Cape Town last year before lockdown and it was the best holiday of my life.

Ooo thanks everyone! These all sound great! Was definitely considering the Maldives with perhaps a week before somewhere else, south Africa was also an options, the Philippines and Malaysia sound incredible too, so many options!

We spent 3 days on safari, then 4 days in the South African wine lands (Franschhoek - so beautiful and they have a little wine tram that lets you hop on and off at all the various vineyards), then a week in the Maldives in a water villa. So fucking incredible - trip of a lifetime and a long way away now we've got two little ones. Enjoy the planning!

Not the Maldives. It always surprises me ppl mention this. I worked alongside the Maldives government. You can't leave your resort as it is dangerous and there is a growing issue with terrorism

How about a tour and stay? So a week travelling around Sri Lanka and then a week relaxing in the Maldives?

If money is no object there's probably lots of exclusive islands where you can get a lot more solitude.

I'd like to go to Madagascar.

Also loved the idea of Madagascar but unfortunately it looked like January wasn't a good time of year weatherwise!

@sleepingstandingup we have literally decided to do just that! Spend a week in Sri Lanka exploring and then just relax in the Maldives for a week! Thanks everyone
